Legion Local Charity Donation

On 21 Aprl

21 March 2023, Harry S. Foster American Legion Post 67 donated $500.00 to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.  The foodbank supports such events as the weekly "Backpack Program" and the "Kids Cafe Program".   The Foodbank serves the following 9 cities and counties: Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, Gloucester, Surry, James City, York, Williamsburg and Matthew.

On 21 April 23, American Legion 67 donated $500 to the Six Mount Zion Church to support their community activism.  Six Mount Zion is fully engage with local community needs as do American Legion Post 67.  The partnership was inevitable! 

Legion Local Charity Donation

Harry S. Foster American Legion Post 67 donated $1850.00 to the Citizens Unit Boys & Girls Club of the Virginia. 


The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula serve more than 6,000 youth on the Virginia Peninsula and surrounding communities.  They provide boys and girls with a safe place to learn and grow, foster ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, and offer life-enhancing p

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.
